"Best Laid Plans" - Sam and Naomi are stunned by Maya's shocking announcement, and Naomi's irrational response leaves Sam to pick up the pieces, as Pete challenges Fife on a patient with a cutting edge bionic arm, on "Private Practice," THURSDAY, JANUARY 21 (10:01-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

"Private Practice" stars Kate Walsh as Dr. Addison Forbes Montgomery, Tim Daly as Dr. Pete Wilder, Audra McDonald as Dr. Naomi Bennett, Paul Adelstein as Dr. Cooper Freedman, KaDee Strickland as Dr. Charlotte King, Chris Lowell as William Dell Parker, with Taye Diggs as Dr. Sam Bennett and Amy Brenneman as Dr. Violet Turner.

Guest cast include Melissa McCarthy as Lynn McDonald, Michael Patrick Thornton as Gabriel Fife, Geffri Maya as Maya, Andy Comeau as Nathan, Chris McKenna as Colin Bowman and Stephen Lunsford as Dink.

"Best Laid Plans" was written by Patti Carr and Lara Olsen, and directed by Bethany Rooney.

"Private Practice" is broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC's selected HDTV format, with 5.1-channel surround sound and Spanish subtitles via secondary closed captioning. This program carries a TV-14,D parental guideline.
